Amidst speculation over cabinet reshuffle, BJP Chief Amit Shah on Thursday convened a meeting with eight Ministers at his residence fueling the reshuffle buzz. The possible major Cabinet reshuffle, before 2019 elections, is expected before Prime Minister Narendra Modi leaves for BRICS Summit on Sunday.
When asked how long he would continue as Defence Minister, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said: “At least I hope not very long.” There is likely to be a change in Railway Ministry after series of train derailments and accidents. It may be recalled Railway Minister Suresh Prabhi had met PM Modi and offered to quit. However, Prabhu was asked to wait.
