Tollywood: Mega Power star Ram Charan’s forthcoming flick Rangasthalam 1985 is hitting the headlines since the day it was announced. Rangasthalam 1985 story is based on rural back drop where Charan and Samantha will be seen in a new avatar like never before.
Recently, they have wrapped the film shoot and have unleashed a teaser from the film which has got registered well among the cine buffs. The teaser has clocked millions of views within a couple of hours of its release on the social media. This is nothing but an indication how much Cherry fans and audience are waiting for the film to hit the big screens.
Helmed by Sukumar, the duo combination has created much hype with the filmgoers. Mythri Movie Makers who have produced Mahesh’s Srimanthudu and Jr NTR’s Janatha Garage under their banner have sold those two films for more than Rs 80 crores.
Latest, we hear that Cherry’s Rangasthalam 1985 rights have been sold by Mythri Movie Makers for a whopping of amount Rs 100 crores including the theatrical rights, overseas, satellite and digital rights.
Cherry’s Rangasthalam 1985 has set a new record for the upcoming movies at the Tollywood box office. If sources are to be believed, the filmmakers have been paid Rs 10 crores for digital rights alone. The teaser and a sound track Yentha Sakkagunnaave was released on the occasion of Valentine’s Day and it went on to do very well with the audiences.
Charan will be seen as Chitti Babu and Samantha as Rama Lakshmi in the film which will also have the actors dressed in simple rural attire. For the first time, both these actors are sharing screen space in Rangasthalam 1985.Teaser and songs were very promising and their on-screen chemistry will definitely woo the audiences.
The film is set for grand release on March 30 across the globe which was earlier planned to release around Sankranthi 2018 got delayed and also postponed to avoid a clash with Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyaathavaasi.
