YSRCP leaders lodged a complaint with the Vijayawada police demanding stoppage of screening of Vijay Devarakonda-starrer Arjun Reddy. YSRCP leaders Goutham Reddy, Punyasheela and Yadhala Srinivas on Wednesday met Vijayawada City Police Commissioner Ramana Kumar and lodged a complaint. They leaders alleged that the bold and intimate scenes would show have deleterious effect on the youth.
It may recalled that various educational institutions and political leaders took exception to the movie posters carrying lip-locks images after they were erected at advertisement hoardings in Hyderabad. Congress senior leader V Hanumanth Rao urged Telangaan Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to ban the screening of the movie in the state. He found fault with the scenes that showed the protagonist consuming drugs.
Meanwhile, Arjun Reddy is running to packed houses in the Telugu states and in the theatres in the US, the UK and Australia. Generally, theatres would run Telugu movies for three to four days in Melbourne. But tickets for Arjun Reddy have been sold out for the next one week.
